What is Youth Ballroom?

The Youth Ballroom Team is for dancers who want to commit to learning new and more challenging dances. The current team is working on a Samba, an East Coast Swing, and a Paso Doble. There are often more opportunities to perform.  

The fee is $75 for 10 lessons

Do you need new shoes? We can provide for $30 – just let us know the size needed.

We are now taking registrations for the upcoming Winter session: January 19 – March 23, 2019 held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Saturday Scholarship
November Performance Opportunities!
Our last class is scheduled for this Saturday, November 17th at 10:00.  Please feel free to invite friends and family for a short performance.

November 24th at 4:00 at the Oak View Mall
The mall is located at 144 and Center Streets.  Dancers will dance while shoppers gear up for the holiday season.  We will be performing in the lower level of the Food Court (there is parking near this entrance). Please arrive by 3:30.

November 30th at Holiday Cultural Festival (formerly called Ethnic Holiday Festival) at the Durham Museum

The museum is located at 801 South 10th Street. Dancing Classrooms will dance Latin dances. Learn how the world celebrates this joyful time of year during the Holiday Cultural Festival! More than 20 local cultural organizations proudly display their crafts and traditional dress, while musicians and dancers perform throughout the evening. Dancers will perform at 7:40 in the Lecture Hall. Please arrive by 7:10.
